Date: 4th December 2023
Venue: Hang Jebat, Level 3, Mines Beach Resort
Synopsis:
The workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Drug Design & Discovery is to provide an overview of the current state of AI in drug discovery and development. AI is an effective tool for data mining based on the huge pharmacological data and machine learning process. Hence, AI has been used in de novo drug design, activity scoring, virtual screening and in silico toxicity prediction. During the workshop, a set of tutorial Jupyter Notebooks from the DeepChem library and framework for machine learning in drug discovery will be used. DeepChem is a Python library and toolchain that combines multiple machine learning algorithms, frameworks and datasets and provides a unified interface for training and evaluating models in drug discovery.
